- Policy
In September 2021, UC San Diego created the NAGPRA Advisory Committee to seek broad input on the implementation of NAGPRA, including the then newly promulgated disposition of culturally unidentifiable human remains regulations (43 CFR 10.11). The committee includes representatives from multiple academic disciplines, faculty, staff, and students as well as members of off-campus Native American communities.
Today, the committee is charged with providing Vice Chancellor and Chancellor recommendations on policy and procedures, decisions regarding cultural affiliation or dispositions and overall implementation of NAGPRA.
